Information We Use
Shopping Cart may collect and store the information needed to run your account and shopping lists. This can include your phone number, Firebase user ID, display name, shopping list names, list items, premium list budgets, premium item prices, item categories, checked item status, list sharing invitations, shared list membership, app language, theme, accessibility preferences, biometric-login preference, subscription status, and account deletion requests.
Phone Number and Account Data
Your phone number is used for Firebase Authentication sign-in and to help other users find you when they share a shopping list with you. The app stores a normalized international phone number and limited search tokens for matching invited members. These phone lookup records are managed through protected backend services rather than direct public browsing.
Shopping List Data
Shopping lists, list items, item categories, item order, checked status, premium list budgets, premium item prices, and sharing membership are stored in Firebase Firestore so your data can sync across sessions and be shared with invited members. Shared members can see and interact with the lists they have access to.
Preferences and Security Settings
The app stores preferences such as language, theme, color blind support, display name, and biometric-login preference. Biometric authentication is handled by your device; Shopping Cart stores only whether you enabled the biometric unlock option, not your fingerprint or face data.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to authenticate your account, sync your shopping data, create and update lists, show shared lists, identify members in shared lists, keep your app preferences available across sessions, display ads for non-subscribed users, verify subscription status, and support account deletion.
Ads and Subscriptions
Shopping Cart may show Google AdMob banner ads and app-open ads to users who do not have an active subscription. Ad services may use device, app, network, and advertising information according to their own policies. Monthly and yearly subscriptions are processed by the app store provider, such as Google Play or the Apple App Store. The app may verify subscription purchase status with the store provider to hide ads for subscribed users.
Sharing
When you share a list, invited users may see the list name, list items, your display name or phone number, and the members of that shared list.
Data Storage
Shopping Cart uses Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Firebase Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Firebase App Check, to store account, list, sharing, preference, subscription, and protected lookup data. App Check helps protect backend access from unauthorized clients.
Data Safety
Do not enter passwords, payment card numbers, government IDs, medical information, or other sensitive personal information into shopping list names or item names. The app is intended for grocery and household list management.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account from the app settings. This removes your account-related app data according to the app's deletion process, including your user profile, preferences, owned shopping lists, list items, sharing records, subscription entitlement records, and phone lookup record where applicable.
